Rajen Dairy's calves are expected to perform exceptionally well, thanks to their rigorous health protocols, superior genetics, and balanced nutrition program. The crossbred Limousin X Holstein calves exhibit excellent growth potential and overall vitality.

Sourcing and Genetics

All calves are single-sourced from Rajen Dairy's own all Holstein cow dairy, ensuring consistent quality and genetic integrity. Rajen Dairy has hand picked premium Wolf Limousin bulls to match with their holstein dairy cows.

Health Protocol and Care

Rajen Dairy implements a comprehensive health protocol to ensure the well-being of their calves from the day they’re born until the day they leave. Key health measures include:

Newborn Care: Within 4 hours of birth, each calf receives 1 gallon of colostrum, 2cc of Inforce 3IN (1cc in each nostril), 2ml of Ultrabac C&D (SQ), and 5ml of Liquicare RTU (orally).

30 Days: Calves receive 2cc of Nasalgen 3-PMH IN.

60 Days: Administration of 2ml of Bovilis Piliguard Pinkeye vaccination (SQ) and 2ml of Pyramid 5+ Presponse (SQ).

85 Days: Another dose of 2ml Pyramid 5+ Presponse (SQ) and a Ralgro implant. The implant's effect wears off by the time calves are sold at 210 days.

Nutrition and Feeding

Rajen Dairy’s feeding protocol is built to promote optimal growth and health:

While in Hut: Calves are fed cotton seed hull, calf pellet, and rolled corn.

Post-Weaning: The diet includes alfalfa, canola, rolled corn, minerals, wheat silage, soy hull pellets, and grass hay.
